Michelle Kahn, M.S.Ed, has been in the field of Education for over 25 years. Mrs. Kahn has worked as an Independent Consultant, Director of Training and Educational Services for a variety of agencies throughout Long Island and Queens. She has provided workshops and trainings for school districts, first responders, and within the health care field. Mrs. Kahn has worked in private schools as well as school districts across Long Island and NYC providing services to children and adults affected by autism and other Intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a behavior consultant, Mrs. Kahn specializes in professional development, staff trainings, parent trainings, and classroom design / support, behavior management, creating new and innovative programs, and Functional Behavior Assessments/behavior plans for private pay, agencies, school districts and families. Furthermore, Mrs. Kahn is an expert witness for the Supreme and Family Court of Nassau County courts since January 2016. Mrs. Kahn is also a motivational speaker. She was featured as a guest on the Dr. Oz show. Mrs. Kahn has presented at many conferences in New York and has lectured on topics related to autism and other disabilities including, but not limited to, Behavior Intervention/management across all settings, anxiety, how to increase capacity of staff in a school/community setting, addressing aggression, ABA and behavioral assessments. Mrs. Kahn has worked with school administrators, teachers, related service providers, doctors, dentist, and other health care providers to increase patient center care, increase best practice, and increase positive experiences for families and schools by increasing capacity of professionals in all areas within the schools and community. She takes pride in taking others on a journey by providing excellence within her field for individuals with disabilities as well as their family.
